Poster Session

• Eligibility
  
  • The General Poster Session is open to all users (with valid user cards).
  • The Poster Competition & Best Popularity Awards are open to users who are students, research assistants, or post-doctoral researchers.
  • The Oral Presentation Competition is open to users who are students, research assistants, or post-doctoral researchers.
• The participants must select one of the three categories: Biological Science, Materials Science, or Phys./Chem. Science.
• How to sign up?
  • The General Poster Session: Please register online and submit a one-page English abstract (PDF file).
  • The Poster Competition & Best Popularity Awards: Please register online, submit a one-page English abstract (PDF file), and choose to become a candidate.
  • The Oral Presentation Competition: Please register online, submit a two-page English abstract (PDF file), and choose to become a candidate.
  • Each eligible registrant can only select to become a candidate for either the Poster Competition & Best Popularity Awards or the Oral Presentation Competition.

• Evaluation Criteria
  
  • The Poster Competition & Best Popularity Awards
    • The Poster Competition: The panel of judges will determine the scores at the poster competition area at noon on August 30 and 31. The on-site presentation is required for all poster competition candidates.
      Evaluation criteria: on-site presentation 60% and poster display 40%.
    • Best Popularity Awards: The winners will be determined based on a popular vote conducted online, which will be closed at 20:00 on August 30.
  • The Oral Presentation Competition: 
    • In the first round, the review panel will select candidates to enter the second round of the competition based on the abstracts they submitted. Candidates who enter the second round must email their presentation files (in English) to user@nsrrc.org.tw no later than August 26. The oral presentations will take place in the afternoon of August 30, 10 minutes each, in English. The overall performance will be evaluated in two areas: oral presentation 70% poster display 30%.
    • Those who did not enter the second round will automatically become candidates for the Poster Competition & Best Popularity Awards.

• Poster size: 90 cm (width) × 120 cm (height).
• All posters will be assigned a poster number and must be set up before 10:30 on August 30.
• All posters must be removed from 15:30 August 31. Please do not remove the posters before the assigned time. Posters remaining on the boards after the meeting will be abandoned.

  • The Oral Presentation Competition:

    The Glory of Taiwan: a prize of TWD 6,000 and a certificate.
    Awards of Recognition: a prize of TWD 2,000 and a certificate.

  • The Poster Competition:

    Awards of Excellence: a prize of TWD 3,000 and a certificate.
    Awards of Recognition: a prize of TWD 1,500 and a certificate.

  • Best Popularity Awards: a prize of TWD 1,000 and a certificate.
  • Awards will be presented at the banquet on August 31. Award candidates are encouraged to attend the banquet.
• These guidelines are comprehensive but not exhaustive; we reserve the right, at our discretion, to update, change, modify, add, or remove these terms and conditions at any time.
