Bridging Nanoarchitectonic Engineering and Temperoal Porbing Spectroscopy

Abstract:

Fabrication of nanocatalysts with unique architectures provides great opportunities for modulation of catalyst surface states and therefore their catalytic performances including the activity and product selectivity. In this regard, the rational design for the nanoarchitectures upon facile strategies becomes an emerging research direction lately. Moreover, real-time probing the processes of nanoarchitectural evolution and their responsive behaviours during catalytic reactions provides further understanding about the roles of nanoarchitectures in catalysis. In this talk, selected stories about our development in nanoarchitectonic engineering along with temporal probing by different synchrotron X-ray techniques will be introduced. It will include the published works that utilized XRD (9A or 19A), SAXS (23A), and XAS (17C or 44A) for assisting us to have real-time understanding the growth and reaction processes. In addition, several ongoing works under development through collaboration with NSRRC will also be presented.
